WHAT IS RECLAIMING ANGER?
“One of the most powerful therapeutic processes I have ever been involved in.
I had no idea how much fear I had about expressing my anger and how much energy and clarity
I was denying myself because of that fear. I feel so alive, it's incredible."
Kiri Bear :: Facilitator & Consultant (Domestic Violence)
People come to Reclaiming Anger for all kinds of reasons.
But everyone comes with some degree of fear.
Is it any wonder?
You have probably grown up surrounded by bad examples of Anger.
Perhaps you have been hurt by it.
Perhaps you have hurt others with it.
Perhaps you have hidden it away so deep you can’t even find it again when you actually need it.
Or perhaps it is rising up so strongly you can't ignore it any longer.
It's true, there are lots of irresponsible things people can do with Anger. It gets a bad reputation.
Past participants of Reclaiming Anger have come into the workshop calling Anger
'stupid', 'abhorrent', 'dangerous', 'impolite', 'selfish', 'unjustified', 'hurtful'... the list goes on.
It's understandable if you feel that way.
What else are you supposed to think, when no one around you has consciously practised doing Anger well?
Despite all their fear and bad experiences with anger, more than 300 people just like you have found the courage to
experience something completely different at Reclaiming Anger.
Why? Because Reclaiming Anger is a safe, trauma-informed & feelings-informed transformational space that supports you to express Anger in healthy ways rather than push it down even further (as our modern culture trains us to do) and wonder why you keep exploding onto others or imploding and turning it on yourself.
There is another way.

“I used to fear anger. The workshop provided me with an opportunity to confront my fears in a safe space
and experience another side of myself. Utterly profound. Now I see anger as a tool I was using incorrectly;
like digging a hole with an upside down shovel."
Rob Healy :: Film Maker & University Lecturer
“This work completely shifted my whole view of anger. I now see anger as a real gift - a gift that will help me
express the love I feel in a powerful and true way.”
Daniel Banfai :: Environmental Scientist
“I felt the fear and anxiety that I constantly live with just vanish quietly away.
And in that space I found myself. I saw clearly that being afraid of Anger and rejecting it meant that
I also struggled with clarity, making decisions, assertiveness and fearlessly having a voice."
Anon :: Lawyer
“The work that I have done in my Reclaiming Anger workshops has given me clarity where before there
was depression & self harm. I have been able to quit drinking and smoking.
I have learned to feel more and I have learned to speak up.”
Lena Denger :: Mother
Amazing things can happen when you Reclaim your Anger.
In regular life, there are almost no spaces to explore Anger safely and honestly.
Most ‘Anger Management’ trainings give you strategies for ‘calming down’ this energy, but the consequences
of managing yourself out of Anger can feel like being at war with yourself.
Calming Anger down is still holding it in. And it stays there until you do something different.
Reclaiming Anger is the safe space you’ve never had to get real about Anger; to find safe expression for it;
and to learn to use it skilfully.

“I never saw anger as a child and never learnt how to have a relationship with it.
This has blocked me from being who I am. This workshop helped me connect with my anger and
experience it in a safe, positive & healing space. I feel more connected to myself.”
Dominic :: Public Servant
"I’ve felt exhausted, burnt out, for years and I now see that change is possible through really channelling
the flame [of anger] I’ve been turning onto and against myself for so long. Too long.”
Mim Kempsen :: Writer, Therapist, Student
“I chanced upon this workshop. I can’t begin to convey how profoundly this has aided my
recovery from the aftermath of trauma.”

Reclaiming Anger Men's & Women's Trainings
Men's & Women's trainings offer the benefit of working with the cultural narratives that surface about gender and feelings, and in this case, Anger. These spaces aren’t about conforming to roles or stereotypes—they’re about uncovering what’s been suppressed, finding clarity, and reclaiming the parts of yourself that have been silenced.
For whose who identify as Men, these spaces invite connection to feelings, power and vulnerability often buried under cultural expectations of toughness or stoicism. It’s a chance to release the weight of those expectations and reconnect with authenticity and embodied, grounded strength.
And if you identify as a Women, these trainings create a space to rediscover your voice and power in a largely patriarchal culture. They’re a call to shed the pressures of pleasing, playing small, or conforming, and to ignite your inner fire—a fire that nurtures not just yourself but the world around you.
When we gather in this way, we honour our differences while celebrating our shared humanity, creating a foundation for deep healing, connection, and transformation.

"Oh to have been taught this as a child!
How different my experience of myself and my feelings would have been."
Kate Laurie :: Counsellor & Psychotherapist
“I found my voice and was able to let go and roar without holding myself back.
For the first time ever.”
Steph
“I’ll always remember sharing dinner with everyone on Saturday night.
The joy and relaxation on people’s faces was not what you normally expect from a bunch of people
who’ve spent hours getting angry. The connection with the other participants was amazing.”
Michael :: Business Development Manager

You already know what it's like to have an ordinary weekend.
To watch Netflix, to go to the pub or cafe, to catch up on your long list of things to do.
And you already know what the results of those ordinary choices are.
You know what it's like to wake up on Monday morning after a weekend like that.
Extraordinary spaces like Reclaiming Anger don't happen every weekend, and they don't happen by accident.
It takes a conscious decision to create new possibilities in your life.
If you want Monday mornings to feel different, coming to Reclaiming Anger might be the best weekend of your year.
This is a rare and precious opportunity to spend a transformative weekend with a courageous and compassionate group of humans; to celebrate and learn about our common humanity; and to make a lasting difference to your life.
“I’ve spent thousands on workshops over the last few years, and while they’ve all provided
incredible tools for personal growth, Reclaiming Anger has been the catalyst for change
I’ve been so desperately seeking."

ATTENDANCE & CANCELLATION GUIDELINES
We understand this training is a big investment on your part. We also ask for your understanding of our investment and that this work is our livelihood. Navigating last minute changes of any kind impacts the group, the trainers and event admin. Last minute cancellations, in particular, also mean we generally can’t fill your place. Because of this we do not automatically offer places in future trainings for free to everyone who makes a last minute change, regardless of the circumstances.
Communication is key as to how we navigate the next steps with you. If you make a choice on the Friday not to attend, please communicate with us wherever possible BEFORE the training begins and let us know your circumstances so we can do our best to support you as well as making any necessary adjustments at our end.
For specific conditions and guidelines see details below.
Intro Night Attendance
For the safety and trust of the group container and in holding the integrity of this work for the greater whole it is essential that you attend the initial evening session in order to be able to attend the weekend training.
While we understand that emergencies, family crises, health concerns may arise and that this may lead to you making a choice not to attend intro night; if you are not present for the intro night session you will forfeit your place in the training for that weekend.
Non-attendance Guidelines
If for any reason you become unable to attend and notification is made within the last 2 weeks (14 days) before the training commences the deposit amount of $285 will not be refunded. This includes if you book in within the last 2 weeks then decide not to attend.
Notifications of non-attendance within 15-30 days before the training will incur an administration fee of $100. The balance of your payment can be transferred to a future training within The Art of Relating (excluding any Possibility Management Trainings).
Notifications of non-attendance 31+days from the event will incur an administration fee of $50 with a choice of your balance being refunded or transferred to a future training or workshop within The Art of Relating (excluding any Possibility Management Trainings).
